Abortion

What does God say about the life and personhood of a fetus? People have worth and identity before they are born. It's in the Bible, Jeremiah 1:5, NIV. "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations."

God is at work in a person's life while he or she is in the womb. It's in the Bible, Psalm 139:13-14, NIV. "For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well."

God's commandment forbids the taking of life. It's in the Bible, Exodus 20:13, NIV. "You shall not murder."

What about in the case of incest or rape? It's in the Bible, Deuteronomy 24:16, NKJV. “Fathers shall not be put to death for their children, nor shall children be put to death for their fathers; a person shall be put to death for his own sin"

How can I avoid making the wrong choice? God is always willing to help. It's in the Bible, James 1:5, NKJV. "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him."

Trust God, rather than rely on your own thinking. It's in the Bible, Proverbs 3:5-6, NKJV. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your paths"

What if I don't know if I have the strength to make the right choice? It's in the Bible, Philippians 4:13, NKJV. "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me"

What if I have made a mistake? God will not let you be tried more than what you can handle. It's in the Bible, 1 Corinthians 10:13, NKJV. "No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it."

God can save above and beyond if we come to Him. It's in the BIble, Hebrews 7:25, NKJV. "Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them."

I am facing a lot of guilt and am hurting, is God far from me for what I did? It's in the Bible, Psalms 34:18, NKJV. "The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves such as have a contrite spirit."

Will God forgive me for my mistake? God offers forgiveness, not condemnation if we just come to Him. It's in the Bible, Isaiah 1:18, NKJV. "Come now, and let us reason together,” says the LORD, “ Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool."
