Truth

God's Word is truth. It's in the Bible, Psalm 119:160, NKJV. "The entirety of Your word is truth, And every one of Your righteous judgments endures forever."

The law of God is truth. It's in the Bible, Psalm 119:142, NKJV. "Your righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, And Your law is truth."

God is a God of truth. It's in the Bible, Deuteronomy 32:4 , NKJV. "He is the Rock, His work is perfect; for all His ways are justice, a God of truth and without injustice; righteous and upright is He."

God wants everyone to come to know the truth. It's in the Bible, 1 Timothy 2:3-4, NKJV.  "For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth."

Jesus is our way and truth that takes us from our helpless, lost, and sinful state into full, complete, everlasting life. It's in the Bible, John 14:6, NKJV. "Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me."

The Holy Spirit leads us to the truth. It's in the Bible, John 16:13, NKJV. "However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come."

Christ's life and death for our sins was done in mercy and truth joined together, not one without the other. It's in the Bible, Proverbs 16:6, "In mercy and truth atonement is provided for iniquity; and by the fear of the Lord one departs from evil"

If we accept the truth that we are sinful, then we can ask Jesus to forgive us, and cleanse us. It's in the Bible, John 1:8-9, "If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

The truths of the Bible have the power to change us and free us from sin. It's in the Bible, John 17:17, NKJV. "Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth."

Truth doesn't change, but endures. It's in the Bible, Psalm 117:2, NKJV. "For His merciful kindness is great toward us, And the truth of the LORD endures forever. Praise the LORD!"

Knowing the truth gives freedom. It's in the Bible, John 8:32, NKJV. "And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

When you know the truth - practice it. It's in the Bible, John 12:25, NKJV. " Then Jesus said to them, 0'A little while longer the light is with you. Walk while you have the light, lest darkness overtake you; he who walks in darkness does not know where he is going.'"

To be in God's presence, is to speak be able to speak truth even in our innermost thoughts. It's in the Bible, Psalm 15:1-2, NKJV. "LORD, who may abide in Your tabernacle? Who may dwell in Your holy hill? He who walks uprightly, and works righteousness, and speaks the truth in his heart;"

Truth spoken in love demonstrates growth in Christ. It's in the Bible, Ephesians 4:15, "but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ—"

One of the fruits of the Spirit dwelling in us is truth. It's in the Bible, Ephesians 5:9, NKJV. "for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth"

Worshipping God must be done in not just the spirit, but also the truth. It's in the Bible, John 4:23, NKJV. "But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him."

Truth helps secure your position of authority. It's in the Bible, Proverbs 20:28, NKJV. "Mercy and truth preserve the king, And by lovingkindness he upholds his throne."

We will be judged by the standard of truth. It's in the Bible, Psalm 96:13, "before the LORD. For He is coming, for He is coming to judge the earth. He shall judge the world with righteousness, and the peoples with His truth."

If you are in the truth, you have nothing to hide. It's in the Bible, John 3:21, NKJV. "But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.”

Love rejoices in the truth.  It's in the Bible, 1 Corinthians 13:4-6, NKJV. "Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth"

Truth shields and protects.  It's in the Bible, Psalm 91:4, NKJV. "He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler."
